Your savings estimate is free. To unlock the full analysis and have us switch your rate, you pay a one-time fee equal to 30% of your estimated first-year savings. If we can't lower your bills, we'll refund your purchase.

Is RateMate affiliated with ConEd?

We're an authorized third-party data manager, which means ConEd recognizes us and shares your usage data with your approval. But we're fully independent — we work for you, not ConEd.

What do I need to get started?

Just your ConEd account number — we request your data through ConEd and you approve it in their portal. Don't know your account number? You can use your ConEd login instead (encrypted, never stored).

How accurate is the savings estimate?

Very accurate. We use your actual 15-minute interval usage data and ConEd's published rate schedules to rebuild your bill from scratch. Our calculations typically match your actual bill within 1-2%.

Will switching rate plans affect my service?

Accepted Answer

No. Switching rate plans is purely administrative - there's no service interruption, no equipment changes, and no one needs to visit your home. Your electricity works exactly the same way.

How long does switching take?

ConEd typically processes rate plan changes within 1-2 billing cycles. You'll see the new rate reflected on your next full billing period after the switch is approved.

What if the new rate plan doesn't save me money?

We only recommend switching if the data shows clear savings. If you're already on the best plan, we'll tell you that.
